The first time you connect the Korg USB MIDI Device to the USB port of your computer, the default USB-MIDI driver for Windows will be installed automatically. If you want to use the Korg USB-MIDI Driver for Windows XP, use the following procedure to reinstall the driver.
The driver must be installed separately for each USB port you use. If you connect the Korg USB MIDI Device to a USB port different than the one you used when installing the Korg USB-MIDI Driver, you will need to reinstall the Korg USB-MIDI Driver using the same procedure.
In order to install (or uninstall) the driver in Windows XP, you must have Administrator privileges. For details, contact your system administrator.
If you encounter problems during installation, you may need to make settings so that Windows will not stop you from installing the driver due to its lack of a digital signature. For more information, see Allowing installation of an unsigned driver.
This driver is for Windows XP and Windows XP x64 Edition only. It cannot be used in Windows 95/98/Me.

Use a USB cable to connect the Korg USB MIDI Device to your computer, and turn on the power of the Korg USB MIDI Device.
Windows will detect the connection with the Korg USB MIDI Device.
Then the default driver will be installed.

Excute EzSetup.exe.
The list in the upper part of the window shows the KORG USB-MIDI devices that are currently connected to your PC. The lower area shows the software version of the KORG USB-MIDI Driver you are about to install.
From the list, choose the KORG USB-MIDI device that is currently connected to your PC, and click Install.
Driver installation will begin.

3. If a dialog box appears, warning you that the driver is not digitally signed, click Continue Anyway.

When the dialog box indicating that installation is completed appears, click Finish.
If a dialog box recommends that you restart Windows, click Yes to restart.

Starting with Windows 10, release 1703, a USB Audio 2.0 driver is shipped with Windows. It is designed to support the USB Audio 2.0 device class. The driver is a WaveRT audio port class miniport. The driver is named: usbaudio2.sys and the associated inf file is usbaudio2.inf.
The driver will identify in device manager as 'USB Audio Class 2 Device'. This name will be overwritten with a USB Product string, if it is available.
The driver is automatically enabled when a compatible device is attached to the system. However, if a third-party driver exists on the system or Windows Update, that driver will be installed and override the class driver.

Feature descriptions
This section describes the features of the USB Audio 2.0 driver.
Audio function topology
The driver supports all entity types defined in ADC-2 3.13.
Each Terminal Entity must have a valid clock connection in compatible USB Audio 2.0 hardware. The clock path may optionally include Clock Multiplier and Clock Selector units and must end in a Clock Source Entity.
The driver supports one single clock source only. If a device implements multiple clock source entities and a clock selector, then the driver will use the clock source that is selected by default and will not modify the clock selector’s position.
A Processing Unit (ADC-2 3.13.9) with more than one input pin is not supported.
An Extension Unit (ADC-2 3.13.10) with more than one input pin is not supported.
Cyclic paths in the topology are not allowed.
Audio streaming
The driver supports the following endpoint synchronization types (USB-2 5.12.4.1):
Asynchronous IN and OUT
Synchronous IN and OUT
Adaptive IN and OUT
For the asynchronous OUT case the driver supports explicit feedback only. A feedback endpoint must be implemented in the respective alternate setting of the AS interface. The driver does not support implicit feedback.
There is currently limited support for devices using a shared clock for multiple endpoints.
For the Adaptive IN case the driver does not support a feedforward endpoint. If such an endpoint is present in the alternate setting, it will be ignored. The driver handles the Adaptive IN stream in the same way as an Asynchronous IN stream.
The size of isochronous packets created by the device must be within the limits specified in FMT-2.0 section 2.3.1.1. This means that the deviation of actual packet size from nominal size must not exceed +/- one audio slot (audio slot = channel count samples).
Descriptors
An audio function must implement exactly one AudioControl Interface Descriptor (ADC-2 4.7) and one or more AudioStreaming Interface Descriptors (ADC-2 4.9). A function with an audio control interface but no streaming interface is not supported.
The driver supports all descriptor types defined in ADC-2, section 4. The following subsections provide comments on some specific descriptor types.
Class-Specific AS interface descriptor
For details on this specification, refer to ADC-2 4.9.2.
An AS interface descriptor must start with alternate setting zero with no endpoint (no bandwidth consumption) and further alternate settings must be specified in ascending order in compatible USB Audio 2.0 hardware.
An alternate setting with a format that is not supported by the driver will be ignored.
Each non-zero alternate setting must specify an isochronous data endpoint, and optionally a feedback endpoint. A non-zero alternate setting without any endpoint is not supported.
The bTerminalLink field must refer to a Terminal Entity in the topology and its value must be identical in all alternate settings of an AS interface.
The bFormatType field in the AS interface descriptor must be identical to bFormatType specified in the Format Type Descriptor (FMT-2 2.3.1.6).
For Type I formats, exactly one bit must be set to one in the bmFormats field of the AS interface descriptor. Otherwise, the format will be ignored by the driver.
To save bus bandwidth, one AS interface can implement multiple alternate settings with the same format (in terms of bNrChannels and AS Format Type Descriptor) but different wMaxPacketSize values in the isochronous data endpoint descriptor. For a given sample rate, the driver selects the alternate setting with the smallest wMaxPacketSize that can fulfill the data rate requirements.

What is WARP?
WARP is a high speed, fully conformant software rasterizer. It is a component of the DirectX graphics technology that was introduced by the Direct3D 11 runtime. The Direct3D 11 runtime is installed on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Vista with the [KB971644] update. Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 & above, and Windows RT include the Direct3D 11.1 runtime, which has an updated version of WARP. Removing the Need for Custom Software Rasterizers
WARP simplifies development by removing the need to build a custom software rasterizer and to tune your application for it instead of tuning your application for hardware. By providing a single, general purpose software rasterizer, you no longer need to write image rendering algorithms in multiple ways to run on hardware or software with different features and capabilities. You can still implement algorithms in multiple ways to achieve better performance or scaling; however, you do not need to change the API or rendering architecture that is used to implement those algorithms. Instead, you can focus on creating a great Direct3D 10 or later application that will look the same and perform well on hardware or in software.
Enabling Maximum Performance from Graphics Hardware

With WARP as a software fallback, you can use existing knowledge about hardware to improve the performance of your application when it runs with hardware or software. In addition, many excellent tools from the graphics card vendors and in the DirectX SDK can help you design, build, develop, debug and analyze performance issues of graphics applications. These tools and knowledge can now benefit application development that targets both hardware and software when you use WARP.
Enabling Scenarios that Do Not Require Graphics Hardware
Various algorithms and applications (image processing algorithms, printing, remoting, Virtual PCs and other emulators, high quality font rendering, charts, graphs, and so on) have typically been optimized for the CPU because they are not dependent on hardware. With WARP, you can use a single architecture that runs these algorithms and applications and that can run fully in software; yet, if hardware acceleration is available, you can take advantage of it.
Completing the DirectX Graphics Platform
WARP allows you to access all Direct3D 10 and later graphics features even on computers without Direct3D 10 and later graphics hardware. Direct3D 10 removed capability bits (caps); that is, you no longer need to verify whether graphics capabilities are available from graphics hardware because Direct3D 10 and later guarantees this availability. You can now use all the features of a wide range of video cards knowing that their application will behave and look the same everywhere. You can scale the performance of these applications by simply disabling expensive graphics features on low end video cards or rendering to smaller targets.
WARP Capabilities and Requirements
WARP fully supports all Direct3D 10 and 10.1 features. For example, WARP supports the following most important features:

When you install the Platform Update for Windows 7 on Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, that operating system then includes the Direct3D 11.1 runtime and a version of WARP that supports Direct3D 11.x when used with feature levels 9_1, 9_2, 9_3, 10_0, 10_1, and 11_0.
Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 & above, and Windows RT include the Direct3D 11.1 runtime and a new version of WARP. This version supports Direct3D 11.x when used with feature levels 9_1, 9_2, 9_3, 10_0, 10_1, 11_0, and 11_1.

How to Use WARP
Direct3D 10, 10.1, 11, and 12 components can use an additional driver type that you can specify when you create the device (for example, when you call the D3D11CreateDevice function). This driver type is D3D10_DRIVER_TYPE_WARP or D3D_DRIVER_TYPE_WARP. When you specify this driver type, the runtime creates a WARP device and does not initialize a hardware device.
Because WARP uses the same software interface to Direct3D as the reference rasterizer does, any Direct3D application that can support running with the reference rasterizer can be tested by using WARP. To use WARP, rename D3d10warp.dll to D3d10ref.dll and place it in the same folder as the sample or application. Next, when you switch to ref, you will see WARP rendering.

Applications have no visibility into how many modes are present, with the exception of RAW/non-RAW.

1.	Use a USB cable to connect the Korg USB MIDI Device to your computer, and turn on the power of the Korg USB MIDI Device. Windows will detect the connection with the Korg USB MIDI Device. Then the default driver will be installed.
2.	Excute EzSetup.exe. The list in the upper part of the window shows the KORG USB-MIDI devices that are currently connected to your PC. The lower area shows the software version of the KORG USB-MIDI Driver you are about to install. From the list, choose the KORG USB-MIDI device that is currently connected to your PC, and click Install. Driver installation will begin.
3.	If a dialog box appears, warning you that the driver is not digitally signed, click *Continue Anyway*.
4.	When the dialog box indicating that installation is completed appears, click Finish. If a dialog box recommends that you restart Windows, click Yes to restart.

1.	Excute UnInstDrv.exe. Click Next.
2.	A list of currently installed KORG MIDI devices will be displayed. Add a check mark only to the MIDI device you want to remove. Be aware that all MIDI devices with a check mark will be removed. Click Next.	Hilscher network login.
3.	A dialog box will ask you for confirmation. Click OK.
4.	Click Finish to complete the procedure. To ensure that the driver removal has taken effect, restart Windows.
